Two student-athletes have international background
UW This Season: Listed on the depth chart at the No. 4 spot among cornerbacks, Hawkins looks to make a positive impact for the UW defense. He has been a valuable member of the practice squad and used his talents to improve the defense and disrupt receivers in practice. He also adds necessary depth to UW's secondary.
2012: Hawkins sat out 2012.
2011: Hawkins provided depth at the cornerback position for the Cowboys.
High School: Hawkins was a two-year starter at running back and defensive back during his junior and senior seasons under coach Justin Hoffman at Gateway High School. Hawkins earned All-Conference honors in his final two years while guiding his team to two playoff appearances and a city championship. In the classroom, he was on the honor roll for two years and also participated in the Colorado Beautillion.
Personal: The son of Marti and Alphonso Hawkins, he has one younger brother, Alexander. He is pursuing a degree in kinesiology and health promotion at UW.
