01/09/2012 University of Wyoming Football Announces Three Mid-Year SigneesTwo student-athletes have international background UW This Season: Brandon James walked on to the Wyoming Football team in the fall of 2010 after transferring from UTEP. He is expected to provide depth at WILL linebacker this fall. 2010: James had to sit out of competition in 2010 to satisfy NCAA transfer rules. 2009: James attended UTEP for one season. High School: James was a four-time letterwinner for coach Garry Dunham at Kashmere High School. As a senior, he posted 121 tackles, eight sacks and two interceptions to earn All-State and All-District honors. He was also named team MVP. During his junior year, James earned All-District accolades with 88 tackles, four sacks and an interception. Personal: Born on Aug. 12, 1990, Brandon is the son of Bernadette Smith and has eight siblings. He was also recruited by Houston and Ball State. He is majoring in sociology. |
