UW This Season: A senior, who came to Wyoming as a junior college transfer from Snow Community College in 2010, DeJay Lester enters his second season in the Wyoming program in 2011. He played in seven games last fall and should add depth to a balanced receiving core this season. He finished the spring of 2011 second on the depth chart behind his former junior college teammate and fellow senior Mazi Ogbonna.

2010: Lester played in seven games as a reserve wide receiver during the season. He had two catches for 18 yards at Texas for his only receptions of the year.

Junior College: He caught 27 passes for 456 yards during the 2009 season and scored two touchdowns. He also returned eight kickoffs for 195 yards, which was an average of 24.4 yards per return. Snow College finished 10-2 overall and 7-1 in the Western States Football League this past season. Snow CC earned a 41-37 victory over Grand Rapids Community College to capture the Zions Bank Top of the Mountains Bowl. They ended the season ranked No. 5 in the final NJCAA National Poll. Snow College ranked No. 16 in the nation in total offense, averaging 397.3 yards per game. Snow ranked No. 8 in the nation in passing offense, averaging 267.8 yards passing per game. He was coached by Steve Coburn while at Snow College.

Personal: Lester played his high school football at Layton Christian in Layton, Utah. He was also recruited by Middle Tennessee, Utah and Utah State. He is majoring in sociology.
