He earned his first letter. Junior College: Rushing is originally from Woolmarket, Miss. He helped lead Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to a No. 3 national ranking in the final NJCAA poll. His junior-college team defeated Grand Rapids Community College of Michigan, 62-53, to win the Mississippi Bowl. The Bulldogs won their third conference championship in the last four years as members of the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC). Mississippi Gulf Coast posted a 10-2 overall record in 2010. Rushing played on an offensive unit that ranked No. 2 in the nation in total offense (accounting for 455.9 yards per game), No. 4 in the nation in rushing offense (245.1 yards per game) and No. 19 in passing offense (210.8 yards per game). Rushing played his high school football at D'Iberville High. Personal: Rushing is majoring in criminal justice. |
