UW This Season: Finley should see significant time on the field this fall, finishing as the No. 2 field cornerback on the depth chart at the conclusion of the 2014 spring drills.
2013: Finley started the first game of the season, but a season-ending injury cut his year short. He received a medical redshirt and kept his year of eligibility.
Junior College: Finley was a first-team Region III All-California selection by the California Community College Football Coaches Association as a sophomore last season. In 2011, he was the region's special teams most valuable player as a return specialist. Contra Costa was the No. 2 defense among all California junior colleges last season, and was first in interceptions. He had 32 tackles, nine interceptions, 20 pass breakups in 2012 and was a team captain the same season. Finley has been timed at 4.33 seconds in the 40-yard dash and has a 39-inch vertical leap.
Personal: Born April 16, 1991, he is the son of LaShurn Finley. His brother Tavarus played football for two seasons at West Alabama. He also had scholarship offers from UTEP, Troy and Middle Tennessee. He is pursuing a degree in communications at UW.
