Wyoming Football Fans are Encouraged to Look for Season-Ticket Renewals in the Mail and Renew Online
April 11, 2008
LARAMIE, Wyo. -
Season-ticket renewals for the 2008 Wyoming Cowboy Football season were mailed to season-ticket holders earlier this week. There are seven home games in the season-ticket package this season. The only other time Wyoming hosted seven home games in a single season was 1990.
The 2008 schedule is one of the most attractive and historic slate of games in school history. Among those seven home games will be contests versus rivals Air Force, Utah and archrival Colorado State. This year's meeting against CSU will be the 100th meeting in the "Border War" rivalry versus the Rams.
"This is as good a schedule as we've had since I've been at Wyoming," said UW head football coach Joe Glenn. "We play seven home games, which gives our fans a great chance to see the Cowboys play in War Memorial Stadium -- seven at 7,220. All of our home games are on Saturday afternoons, and that is fantastic for our fans. I think that is when college football should be played. We begin the season at home and begin conference play at home. And I love finishing the season at home with our rival, Colorado State.
"Our team can't wait, and I know our fans will be out in force on Aug. 30 to kick off the season."
The season-ticket price for the seven-game package is $168, which is a $28 savings over purchasing single-game tickets for seven games. In essence, a season-ticket holder will be getting one game free. Current season-ticket holders are encouraged to renew their tickets online this year. By renewing online, Cowboy fans can save up to 50 percent on handling fees and may earn five additional priority points through the Cowboy Joe Club. To renew online, season-ticket holders may go to www.wyomingathletics.com. Questions on season-tickets may be directed to the UW Athletics Ticket Office at 800-922-9461 or 307-766-4850.
Requests to improve or move seat locations must be done in writing and either accompany the season-ticket invoice or be requested online at the time of your season-ticket renewal. The re-seating process will begin approximately one week after the final renewal deadline on June 6 and will be based on Cowboy Joe Club priority points. If you have questions on your Cowboy Joe Club priority points, please contact the Cowboy Joe Club at 307-766-6242.
