Two Wyoming Football Games to Appear on ESPN Networks

LARAMIE, Wyo. - On Thursday, the Mountain West Conference announced 15 additional games that have been selected by ESPN to be televised during the 2013 college football season. Two of the selected games will feature the Wyoming Cowboys. The Cowboys' road games at Air Force on Sept. 21 and at Boise State on Nov. 16 were both selected for television coverage on ESPN Networks.
While additional details on some early-season games may be announced in the coming weeks, kick times and specific networks for most of the remaining contests will be determined during the course of the season (generally a 12-day window).
Today's announcement is another under a new agreement with ESPN as the second Mountain West national television rights holder for Conference-controlled football games. In total, 22 MW football games will air on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN3 this coming season.
Early this week, the University of Nebraska announced that the season opener between Wyoming and Nebraska on Aug. 31 in Lincoln, Neb., will be televised by the Big Ten Network. That game will kick off at 6 p.m., Mountain Time (7 p.m., Central Time).
Additional televised games may be released at a later date.
Beginning in the fall of 2013, MW football membership will include Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, New Mexico, Utah State and Wyoming in the Mountain Division and Fresno State, Hawai`i, Nevada, San Diego State, San Jose State and UNLV in the West Division.
