Joe Cummings, a product of Missoula, Mont., lettered four years under head coach Joe Tiller from 1992 to 1995. His best season came in 1995 when he earned All-Western Athletic Conference honors after recording eight sacks and 10 tackles for loss. The best team Cummings played on was the 1993 Cowboys who went 8-4 earning a trip to the Copper Bowl. During the 1993 season UW reeled off seven straight wins.
Beginning on July 13, we will count down the 50 days to kickoff of the 2012 Wyoming Cowboy football season with a new feature titled "Cowboy Two-A-Days". Each day for 50 days leading up Wyoming's season opener at Texas on Sept. 1, we will feature some of the great Cowboys who wore jersey numbers 1-99 during their playing careers. Williams, a product of Pueblo, Colo., was a four-year starter at defensive tackle for the Cowboys. One of his best years was 1990, a season in which he tallied 79 stops and 11 sacks to earn Second Team All-WAC and Second Team All-Academic honors. He was part of the 1993 team that went 8-4 and earned a berth to the Copper Bowl, the same year he earned Honorable Mention All-WAC. He lettered from 1989-90 and 1992-93.
