One of the most prolific receivers and returners in Cowboys history, Jovon Bouknight ranks in the top three in the three major receiving categories and is UW's career leader in all-purpose yardage. The Denver, Colo., native finished his career No. 3 on the Cowboys career receiving yards list with 3,626 yards. He also finished No. 2 in career receptions with 250 and third in career touchdown receptions with 29. During his junior season of 2004, Bouknight helped lead the Cowboys to a 7-6 record and an upset victory over UCLA in the Las Vegas Bowl. That season he put up the eighth-best single-season receiving performance in Cowboy history, grabbing 63 balls for 1,075 yards and seven touchdowns. The following season, Bouknight caught 77 passes for 1,116 yards and 12 touchdowns which is the sixth-best single-season in UW history. During that season, he caught 14 passes for 143 yards against San Diego State, which is the fifth-best receiving game in Cowboy history. Bouknight was not only an excellent receiver for head coach Joe Glenn, he also is the career leader in all-purpose yardage. His 2,016 career kickoff yards on 87 returns are the most in Cowboy history. During his career, Bouknight scored 30 total touchdowns and 180 total points which are fourth and ninth, respectively, in UW history. The first three years of his career (2002-04) he was an Honorable Mention All-Mountain West performer. His senior season of 2005, he earned First Team All-MW honors. He went on to play in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers in 2006.
