Fall 2012 (Sophomore): After an excellent redshirt freshman season, Hedge continued his steady play during the fall of his sophomore season recording one top-10 finish and a top-40 finish. In the first tournament of the fall, the Battle in the Tetons, he helped the Cowboys to their first team tournament title since 2000, while recording his third career top-15 finish. At that event, he fired back-to-back rounds of 71 (-1) in the first two rounds and finished with a five-over 77 to close the tournament with a final score of 219 (+3). While helping the Cowboys to their first tournament victory in 12 seasons, he also helped them to their best team tournament score of 847 (-17) in school history. The following two tournaments, Hedge could not make his way into the top 50 recording a 71st-and a 52nd-place finish. Hedge's second-highest finish of the fall season came at the Mark Simpson-Colorado Invitational when he finished in a tie for 32nd with a three-round score of one-over 217. Hedge finished the season with the Cowboys' third-best stroke average of 74.93.
2011-12 (Redshirt Freshman): Hedge had an excellent redshirt freshman season for UW, carrying the third-best stroke average on the team of 75.76. He played in 11 of the Pokes 13 tournaments with one withdraw. He had an up-and-down beginning of the fall season placing in the top 75 in his first four tournaments before having an excellent final tournament of the fall. At the Nevada Wolf Pack Classic, he recorded a career-best finish tying for seventh place of the 80-man field. He shot rounds of 69 (-3), 75 (+3) and 76 (+4) for a total of 220 (+4). During the spring season, Hedge's best tournament came at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. At the Talking Stick North Course, he shot a career-best round of 66 (-4) in the first round. He went on to fire even-par rounds of 70 in the next two to finish in a tie for 11th place with a score of 206 (-4). His four-under 206 is his best-career tournament score and was the best tournament score for the Cowboys during the 2011-12 season. On the season, Hedge recorded five rounds of par or better, including three consecutive at the Cowboy Classic.
2010-11 (Freshman): Hedge redshirted his freshman season to improve his game.
High School: Hedge came to the University of Wyoming from Billings, Mont., where he enjoyed a tremendous prep career. He attended Billings West High School where he was a member of four consecutive Montana State Championship golf teams. During the 2008 season, Billings West was unstoppable and won every tournament in which they competed. Hedge was an All-State performer all four years of his high school career. He also won the 2A Montana State Championship as a freshman. Hedge also excelled in the classroom graduating as a member of National Honors Society.
Personal: Hedge was born on May 1, 1991, in Billings, Mont. He is the son of John and Kathy and has two brothers, Seth and Josh, and a sister, Ashley. He is planning on majoring in accounting at UW.
