Fall 2010 (Senior): Henzlik had an up-and-down fall season, but recorded two top-25 finishes to give him seven career top-25 finishes. His best tournament was the Nevada Wolf Pack Classic where he placed 18th and recording a two-round total of 145 (+1). At that tournament he shot his fall season best round of 70 (-2). He also recorded a 25th place finish at the Air Force Falcon Invite with a three round total of 221 (+5). Henzlik had the third best stroke average for the Cowboys at 75.85, while recording a tie for the second best round of the fall at 70 (-2). Henzlik has competed in 38 events for the Cowboy during his UW career.

2009-10 (Junior): Henzlik had a up-and-down 2009-10 season with only one top-25 finish, but he did record his career low round of 68 (-4). His best tournament was the Air Force Falcon Invite where he tied for 17th place with a three-round total of 216 (E). He twice shot his career low 68 (-4) during that tournament. His low round of 68 (-4) tied teammate Gabe Maier for the best round of the season for the Cowboys. Henzlik played in all 11 events the Cowboys entered and had the fourth best stroke average of 75.97. He recorded five rounds of par or better during the season, including two rounds under par. Following the season, Henzlik was honored with the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholar Award by the Golf Coaches Association of America. He also was named a MWC Scholar Athlete and Academic All-MWC last season for the third consecutive season.

2008-09 (Sophomore): Henzlik enjoyed a very successful sophomore season. He had the Cowboys' second best stroke average at 75.47 and finished in the top 25 of three different events. He saved his best golf for the last, as he excelled at the 2009 Mountain West Conference Championship. He tied for seventh in the league's championship with a three-round total of 212 (-1). His other top-25 finishes came in the prestigious New Mexico Tucker Invite (Tie 20th, +5, 221) and the Mizzou Tiger Intercollegiate (Tie 23rd, 225, +9). His best round of the season was a 68 (-3) in the second round of the MWC Championship. On the year he shot par or better in nine rounds. He continued to be an exceptional student and earned both MWC Scholar Athlete accolades and Academic All-Conference honors for the second straight year.

2007-08 (Freshman): Henzlik walked onto the Cowboy team as a freshman and promptly played well enough to represent Wyoming at 10 of 13 tournaments, including all six tournaments of the spring. Henzlik's low round of the season was a one under-par 71, which he shot at the BYU Cougar Classic. At the Turtle Bay Invite in Hawaii, he factored into the third-best team event total in UW history, 859 (-5). Phil posted his best event finish of the season, and first career top-25 finish, in just his second event of the fall when he concluded the Purple & Red Invite in 22nd place of 104 collegiate golfers. Henzlik excelled academically and was selected as a Mountain West Conference Scholar Athlete, while also being named Academic All-MWC.

High School: Henzlik was the South Dakota Class AA Individual State Champion as a senior in 2006. He was named All-State twice, All-Conference for three years and was the captain of his high school golf squad as both a junior and senior. Henzlik was also a high school tennis player, winning a state doubles title as a senior and helping his team win the S.D. state title as both a junior and senior. He was named All-State in tennis after his senior year and was his team's captain. Henzlik earned nine high school letters, five in golf (including eighth grade) and four in tennis. He was a National Honor Society caliber student and received All-State Scholar Athlete honors.

Personal: Phil was born Feb. 7, 1989, in Fort Collins, Colo. He is one of two children of Dean and Tamara Henzlik. His older sister, Mikala was a member of the Cowgirl golf team from 2005-09. Phil's father Dean played for the Cowboy Golf team from 1972-76. Henzlik is majoring in physiology.
