2013-14 (Junior): Thomas competed in five tournaments for the Cowboys playing as an individual in each. His best finish came at the Battle in the Tetons, the first tournament of the year for Wyoming. Thomas scored a 227 (+11) to finish tied for 29th. He ended the fall with a 77.1 stroke average after competing in three of the five events. Thomas participated in Wyoming's two host tournaments this spring. He recorded a 231 (+15) at the Wyoming Cowboy Desert Intercollegiate in February and a 233 (+23) at the Cowboy Classic in April. Thomas finished the year with a 77.2 stroke average.

2012-13 (Redshirt Sophomore): Thomas sat out the fall season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules. Thomas played his for tournament for the Cowboys in the spring of 2013 at the UW Desert Intercollegiate. He tied for 78th place with a score of 236 (+20). His best three-round total of the season came in the next tournament at the Don Puckette-Arizona National Invitational tournament where he finished with a score of 229 (+13) and tied for 73rd place. He also fired his first even-par round of the season at that event. He was up-and-down the next two tournaments at the Denver Desert Shootout (T-91) and the Wyoming Cowboy Classic (T-121). In his final tournament of the season the PING Cougar Classic, Thomas recorded a top-50 finish taking 49th place. He finished the event with a 54-hole total of 233 (+17). Thomas carried a 78.14 stroke average on the spring season and recorded one round of even-par.

2011-12 (Montana State Billings): Thomas transferred to UW from Montana State Billings where he played the 2010-11 season and redshirted in 2011-12. At MSUB, he was a member of the first-ever tournament championship at the MSUB Invitational. At that tournament he placed second individually. He was the Saltwater Classic Amateur champion. During the 2012 U.S. Open qualifying he was a local champion and competed in the section qualifying in Houston, Texas.

High School: Thomas attended high school at Riverton High School and lettered in golf and basketball all four years. In 2009, he was the 4A West Conference champion. He also earned all-state and all-conference his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. His senior season he led Riverton to the best finish in school history. Individually during high school, Thomas won four tournaments. In basketball, he was an honorable mention all-conference honoree. In the classroom, he was a member of National Honor Society as its vice president.

Personal: Thomas was born in Riverton, Wyo., on Dec. 23, 1991. He is the son of Cindy and R.B. He plans to major in business administration.
