LARAMIE, Wyo. - For the second consecutive season the University of Wyoming men's golf team was named All-Academic Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

"At the end of the day this is a true testament to the hard work of our kids in the classroom," Wyoming Cowboy head coach Joe Jensen said. "For us to play a national schedule and stay competitive on the course while keeping our grades up is really encouraging."

To be named All-Academic Team, a team must keep a grade point average above 3.0 throughout the entire season. The Cowboys were one of 59 golf programs to receive the honor. They were also one of only three schools in the Mountain West to be honored.

"This shows that we have a really good group of kids and what kind of student-athletes we want at the University of Wyoming," Jensen added.
