Hernandez enters 2014-15 as one of three assistant coaches on staff for UW.

In 2013-14, he served as the Assistant Director of Player Development. He participated in practices on an occasional basis and helped conduct strength and conditioning activities.

A two-time All-America honoree for the Pokes at 197 pounds, Hernandez left the school with 120 victories (No. 8 all-time) and was a two-time Western Wrestling Conference champion. He is one of only six UW wrestlers ever to earn All-America status two or more times.

Hernandez received an Everett Lantz Most Outstanding Wrestler nod in 2013, the Steven Suder High Point Award in in 2012 and 2013 and the Joe Dowler Cowboy Up Award in 2010.

He married his wife Stephanie on Aug. 16, 2008, in Blackfoot, Idaho. They are the proud parents of two sons, Aiden and Madden.
