2014-15:Rieder appeared in three open events during his redshirt freshman campaign. He sported a 4-6 overall record with three pins.
2013-14: Redshirting in his first season with the program, Rieder tallied a 3-10 mark with three falls. He competed in five open tournaments, and posted a pin in just 52 seconds in the U.S. Western National Open to end his season.
High School: Rieder played football and wrestled at Paonia High. A four-year varsity wrestler, he wrestled to a 34-5 season mark and 28 pins his senior year. He ended his high school career with a 108-35 record and was a four-year state qualifier. He lost out early his freshman year and placed the next three years. In 2012 he was state runner-up and completed his senior year by placing fifth.
Rieder also received all-conference first team honors in football and was a state qualifier in the discus. He finished his senior season with 44 tackles, 240 yards rushing and three TDs in football.
Personal: Born in Johnstown, Colo., he is the son of Suzanne Rieder. He has three siblings: Alex, Grayson and Fredrick. His brother Alex was a former UW wrestler and club wrestling coach. He is pursuing a degree in art at UW.
