2012-13: One of the team's seven NCAA qualifiers, Woods picked an ideal time to come alive. After starting the season 9-9, Woods rebounded to win 15 of the next 21 bouts to finish 24-15 overall and earned a berth in the NCAA Championships with his first NCAA West Regional 184-pound title. Woods avenged two earlier losses to go 2-0 in the event for the crown and helped the Pokes win their fourth-straight conference title. He tied for fourth on UW with nine dual wins and was No. 6 in total wins with 24. He finished his season at the NCAA Championships with a 0-2 mark. Woods was 8-3 versus WWC foes and tallied four pins and four major decisions through the season.

2011-12: Woods showed his promise at two weights, 174 and 184. He placed third or better in five tournaments over the season, and just missed cracking the 20-win mark.

For the year, he was 19-6 with six pins and one major decision. His 19 wins ranked 10th on the team. After starting out the season with just a 6-4 mark, he reeled off a 13-2 record the rest of the way and won the Rocky Mountain Open in dominating fashion. He was 1-0 versus WWC opponents.

2010-11: Woods compiled a 23-7 overall record while wrestling in six open tournaments at 184 pounds, as he redshirted his first season with the Cowboys. He collected seven pins, three major decisions and one technical fall while going 5-0 against the WWC.

Woods opened with third-place showings at the Northwest Open and Cowboy Open, before placing fifth at the Kaufman-Brand Open and fourth at the UNK Loper Open. He ended his season by winning the Utah Valley Open and placing second at the Rocky Mountain Open to win seven of his last eight matches.

High School: Woods wrestled at Tuttle High School. He was 30-0 as a senior, won his second state crown at 215 pounds and led his team to its second-straight team title. He accomplished that despite tearing his ACL late in the season.

As a junior, he was an Oklahoma State 4A High School Champion in 2009 at 215 pounds with a 40-3 mark. He led his team to a state title that same season and placed third individually at the Midwest Classic in Kansas City, Mo. As a sophomore, Woods placed third at the state tournament in the 160-pound weight class.

Personal: Woods was born in Chickasha, Okla., and he is the son of Jason and Dana Woods. He has one older brother, Jason Woods II. He is pursuing a degree in kinesiology.
