He began the year with a solid showing, placing second in the Cowboy Open at 149 pounds. He was fourth at the Utah Valley Open, and went 9-9 for the season with three pins and two major decisions. He was recognized by the UW coaching staff at the year-end banquet for keeping a GPA above 3.0 for the season. 2011-12: Stroh had a successful campaign but an injury ended his year prematurely. He won five straight matches, including two in duals, prior to his injury that ended his season. Stroh split time at 149 and 157 pounds, compiling a 15-6 overall record with three pins and three major decisions. Stroh placed in three tournaments and won the Rocky Mountain Open with three wins. He was effective in his dual action, earning convincing wins over Cal Poly and Utah Valley. He was recognized by the UW coaching staff for maintaining a GPA above 3.0 over the course of the year. 2010-11: Stroh earned a 21-9 record at 157 and 165 pounds in five open tournaments while redshirting his first season with Wyoming. He notched nine pins, three major decisions and one technical fall while going 3-5 against the WWC. In the classroom, he was named to the WWC Coaches' Honor Roll. He was third at the Northwest Open courtesy of a 5-1 showing, but just missed placing at the Cowboy Open and UNK Loper Open. He finished his season with a fourth-place showing at both the Utah Valley Open and Rocky Mountain Open, as he went 9-4 down the stretch with five falls. High School: Stroh won three wrestling state championships in Montana at Chinook High School. His senior year he was undefeated at 39-0 en route to a Class `C' state title at 160 pounds. As a junior, Stroh won state at 152 pounds and he took the title at 145 pounds as a sophomore. He was runner-up as a freshman at 135. He was named the 2009 Outstanding Montana High School Wrestler for the Northern Division. He placed third at the 2010 Reno World Championships and was the 2008 Rocky Mountain Nationals Triple Crown Winner. Stroh lettered four times in football and twice in track. Personal: Stroh was born in Powell, Wyo., and he is the son of Robin and Lisa Stroh. His younger brother Ben is a freshman on the UW roster, and he has a sister, Rebecca.
