PORTLAND, Ore. -

The University of Wyoming Wrestling team defeated Portland State 42-3 in Portland on Thursday night.

The Wyoming grapplers rebounded from a loss on Wednesday night to only lose one match on Friday. Seniors Malcolm Havens and Tyson Shatto along with junior Gary Dack and sophomore Danny Clum all recorded pins on Thursday night. Havens pined Patrick Unger in 6:58, while Shatto pined Brycen Yakabe in 3:56. Dack and Clum made quick work of their opponents as they pinned their opponents in 1:10 and 1:16 respectively.

Sophomores Kyle Dye and Jason Still, along with redshirt freshmen Cody Grant and Preston Pavich all won by decision. Freshman Shay Lawrence got a victory by way of forfeit. Complete results are listed below.

The Cowboys will next take on Oregon at 2 p.m. and Oregon State at 7 p.m. in duals on Friday.
