UW This Season: A player who made an immediate impact in her first year...earned Sixth Player of the Year honors in the MWC...should continue to be a main contributor on the floor.

Freshman (2008-09): Played in 30 games with 16 starts in her first season with the program...was named the Sixth Player of the Year by the MWC...started in her first regular season game of her career against Denver (11/14/08)...finished with 11 points, six rebounds, two blocks and two steals...averaged 10.5 points, which was third on the team, and 4.5 rebounds in 28.1 minutes of play...led the team in assists (2.7 aspg) and tied for second in steals (1.1 spg)...shot 108-332 (.325) from the field, 30-96 (.313) from beyond the arc and 70-93 (.753) from the charity stripe...in MWC games, she averaged 8.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists...ranked 11th in assists (2.67 aspg), 14th in free throw percentage (70-93, .753) and 18th in scoring (10.5 ppg) in the league...in conference games, she was 11th in free throw percentage (39-53, .736), 12th in blocks (.63 bpg) and 21st in scoring (8.8 ppg)...tied her career high with eight rebounds along with four assists against San Diego State (2/15/09)...finished with a career high four steals against Oregon (11/29/08)...had a career high eight rebounds along with her 21 points against Boise State (11/25/08)...recorded a career high 26 points and six assists, while shooting 9-19 (.474) from the field and 6-8 (.750) from beyond the arc against North Dakota (11/20/08)...finished with 20 points, while shooting 7-11 (.636) from the field and 3-3 (1.00) from the free throw line against Montana (11/16/08)...recorded a team high 21 points, along with five assists in the second exhibition game against Metro State (11/7/08)...started in the Cowgirls opening exhibition game against UC-Colorado Springs (11/4/08)...in her first action as a Cowgirl, she finished with a team high 25 points, along with five assists and two rebounds in 26 minutes of play...recorded double-figures in scoring 15 times on the season including six games with 20 points or more...led the team in scoring 11 times and rebounding once.

High School: A four-time All-Australian Junior camp selection while attending the Australian Institute of Sport for two years (2006-08)... during that time, she represented the South Australia Country at the National Junior Championships on the Under 16 (2003 and 2004) and Under 18 (2005 and 2006) Teams, while being named a team captain as well...in 2008, she led them to a Gold Medal on the U20 Team, and a bronze medal in 2007...was coached at the Institute by Dean Kinsman, while also being coached by Paul Mescke during her career...was also a member with the AIS WNBL team for the past two years.

Personal: Full name is Emma Michelle Langford...born January 29, 1989 in Maitland, South Australia...the daughter of Robert and Maxine Langford...has two sisters, Katie and Steph, and a brother Chris...undeclared but plans to major in family and consumer sciences.
