CASPER, Wyo. (AP) -- Jodi Bolerjack and Hanna Zavecz each scored 16 points to help Wyoming beat Texas Woman's University 75-60 on Saturday in the Wyoming Shootout.
An 11-0 run midway through the second half gave the No. 24 Cowgirls (9-1) their biggest lead of the game, 55-33. TWU (3-5) never came closer than 14 points after that.
Wyoming outrebounded the Pioneers 49-28.
Aubrey Vandiver added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Wyoming, and Rebecca Vanderjagt also had 12 points for the Cowgirls.
Renee Renz led TWU with 19 points. Jessica Durr added 18.
"There are always mismatches in a basketball game, and tonight we had the size advantage," said UW head coach Joe Legerski. "We did a great job on the offensive glass, and overall I was pleased with the result. Rebecca Vanderjagt was big for us today. She stepped up for a three minute stretch and had a big effort as well as Megan McGuffey. "
Wyoming will be at home for the next two games as they host the Northern Colorado Bears, on Monday, and the Westminster College Griffins, on Wednesday. Both games are set to start at 7:00 p.m.
