This Week: The Cowgirls will open up the Mountain West Conference season this weekend. They will host the Colorado State Rams on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., in the MPG.

About Colorado State: The Cowgirls will open up conference play this weekend against MWC conference rival CSU. The Rams currently have an 11-2 overall record. They are led by sophomore forward Ashley Augspurger, who is averaging 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest. Senior Heather Haanen is also chipping in 11.8 points and 4.3 rebounds. The Rams went 23-10 overall and 9-5 in the conference last season They return ten letterwinners and four starters to this year's squad. This is the 58th meeting between the two schools, Colorado State leads 30-27. The last time these two teams met was March 8,in the conference tournament, when Colorado State came out on top with a 79-57 victory. The Rams are coached by Tom Collen, who is in his fourth season.
