Cowgirl Basketball Wins 60-58 Thriller Over Colorado State
The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team (24-6 overall, 12-4 MW) came back from a 14-point second half deficit and pulled out a 60-58 win over the Colorado State Rams (11-19 overall, 7-9 MW) in the quarterfinal round of the 2013 Reese's Mountain West Tournament on Thursday night.

The Wyoming basketball team returns home on Saturday, Feb. 22, as they host the league leading Colorado State Rams. The game is set to tip-off at 2:00 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium Live stats, audio and video can be found through the women's basketball Gameday Central page located on the www.gowyo.com website.

The Cowgirls are 17-7 overall and 8-5 in MW action after tough loss, 65-60, against Fresno State on Wednesday night. Kayla Woodward is averaging a team high 17.7 points plus 7.3 rebounds, while Fallon Lewis is adding 15.5 points and a team high 9.6 rebounds. Kaitlyn Mileto follows with 14.0 points and Marquelle Dent leads the way with 4.7 assists plus 9.3 points per game. In league games, Woodward is third in scoring (18.3 ppg) and sixth in rebounding (7.4 rpg). Mileto is currently sixth in scoring with 14.6 points per game, while Lewis leads the league in rebounding with 9.9 per game.

Wyoming is third in the league in assists (16.0 aspg), scoring offense (74.3 ppg) and scoring defense (65.9 ppg), plus fourth in rebounding margin. They are also shooting 159-457 (.348) from beyond the arc and 621-1463 (.428) from the field, which are first and second respectively. In Mountain West games, they are second in scoring offense, assists and field goal percentage, fourth in scoring defense and three-point field goal percentage.

Colorado State is 21-4 overall and 13-1 in the MW. Last time out, the Rams defeated Boise State, 71-51, on Wednesday night. CSU is led by Sam Martin who is averaging 11.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Ellen Nystrom is adding a team high 6.4 rebounds while adding 9.1 points. They return three starters and six letterwinners to a team that went 11-19 overall and 7-9 in the MW last season.

This will be 90th meeting between the two schools. Wyoming leads the series 47-42. The last time the two teams met was March 14, 2013, as the Cowgirls defeated the Rams, 60-58, in the first round of the MW Championships. They are coached by Ryun Williams who is in his second year with the program.
