Vandiver Earns Co-Player of the Week Honors

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

For the first time this season, Wyoming Cowgirl junior Aubrey Vandiver was named Mountain West Conference Player of the Week for March 8, along with Quenese Davis of San Diego State. Vandiver led the Cowgirls to wins at Air Force (87-60) and at home over UNLV (78-73) last week.

Against Air Force, the 5-11, Laramie, Wyo., product, recorded team highs in points (24), rebounds (nine) and assists (five). She shot 8-of-14 (.571) from the field and 5-for-8 (.625) from beyond the arc. Against UNLV, she collected a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Vandiver also collected four assists and two steals in 36 minutes of action. For the week, she averaged 23.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists on 16-of 31 shooting from the floor and 8-for-14 from beyond the arc.
