Welcome everyone to the 2004-05 Wyoming Cowgirl Basketball season. Excitement is in the air as we get ready for a great year!!

Let me just fill you in on what's been going on for us the last couple of months. A handful of the team stayed here in Laramie to take summer classes and work out together. It was great for us to bond as a team and improve our basketball skills. As a junior transfer, staying in Laramie for the summer was a huge advantage. I got to know most of the players, coaches, and faculty, who of course are all great. Not to mention getting used to the conditioning and work outs at the Division 1 level; making the transition a little bit easier. All 17 team members finally arrived in September and we jumped right into preseason. Everyone has been working really hard since day one and we continue to get stronger.

Our first practice began three weeks ago and our team has been very focused on improving our skills everyday. The intensity and competition levels have been very high at every practice. This year's team consists of seven newcomers and ten veterans. We have really come together as a team and started to develop great chemistry. We opened up with an exhibition game last Thursday against Adams State. It feels great to get the first game jitters out of the way. Thank you for all that came; it was great to see so many supporters of Cowgirl Basketball in the stands. We look forward to seeing you at many more games this year!!! Our first regular season game is November 19th at Kansas State. I hope everyone is as excited about this year's team as I am. It is going to be a great one, so don't miss out. Go Cowgirls!!!!!!
