Hello Cowgirl Fans!
We are now 6-1 after three fantastic wins against Colorado, Texas Pan American and Ohio. We put up a good fight against CU's tall and aggressive team and we came up with a fantastic win. This win was one for the record book because the Cowgirls have not beaten CU since 1989. Winning against a Big 12 team like CU brought the Cowgirls to a new competitive level. Our quickness and teamwork allowed us to bring confidence to Wyoming.
The following game against Texas Pan America was a test to see if we could bounce back from a big win. The offensive end on both sides was a struggle, but it gave us the opportunity to get our composure and score some big points. This game opened the door for us to refocus on what is important with whatever is coming up next in the season.
During the BlueCross/BlueShield of Wyoming Shootout, the Cowgirls defeated Ohio, the team that fellow teammate Mary Brown's sister plays on. The Cowgirls played tough against Ohio's scrappy defense and gave all we could on the offensive end. This game was very competitive on the rebounds and it took a big defensive effort, but we took this experience and learned from it in order to come up with the win. To help us with our intensity were the many Cowgirl fans that attended this game. Thank you!
We are back in Laramie for the next game on Friday against a very good Weber State team. I hope to see all you Cowgirl fans and this game. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Go POKES!!!
