Wyoming Basketball Adds Transfer Jordan Kelley

Cowgirl head basketball coach Joe Legerski today announced that Gillette native Jordan Kelley will transfer to the University of Wyoming. Kelley spent the last two seasons at Washington State. Under NCAA transfer rules, she will have to sit out next season and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
"We are very pleased with the addition of Jordan to the Wyoming Cowgirl program," said Legerski. "She was a standout at Campbell County High School and one of the top players to compete in the state of Wyoming. Her Division I experience will bring depth to a strong Cowgirl backcourt."
Jordan Kelley, 5-10, Guard, Gillette, Wyo. (Washington State/Campbell County HS): Kelley joins the Cowgirls after spending the last two seasons at Washington State in Pullman. She appeared in 25 games off the bench during her freshman campaign. For the season, she averaged 1.0 points and 0.5 rebounds in 4.9 minutes per contest. This past season, she sat out due to an injury. A four-time All-Conference and three-time All-State honoree while attending Campbell County High School. She was selected as the Wyoming 4A Player of the Year and Gatorade Player of the Year in both 2010 and 2011. During her senior year, she was also named a Top-40 Parade All-American and a McDonald's All-American. She would average 24 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.0 assists in that same year to lead her team to the 4A State Championship. Kelley was also part of the Wyoming 4A State Championship team in 2009. A four-time letterwinner, she was coached by Mitch Holst. Besides basketball, she also lettered in track and field. She was the treasurer of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee while at WSU and in high school was on the President's Honor Roll and a Salutatorian. Kelley is the daughter of Bruce and Carmin Kelley. She has two siblings, Cody and Jayce.
