Cowgirl Basketball Tabs One Student-Athlete

University of Wyoming Cowgirl head basketball coach Joe Legerski announced the addition of Mina Geric (Mee Nuh Gair itch) to this year's recruiting class. She will attend the University of Wyoming beginning in the fall of 2011.
"We are excited to add Mina to the Wyoming basketball program," said Legerski. "She will bring great versatility with her size and has the ability to play several positions on the court. Her offensive skill set will allow her to contribute immediately. Mina and her family are excited about the opportunity to further her education and continue her development as a basketball player."

Mina Geric, 6-0, Forward, Belgrade, Serbia (Sportska Gimnazija): Geric comes to Wyoming after a career at Sportska Gimnazija. She was a member of the Serbian National Team and helped them to a second place finish at the Kup Demsar. During that time, she was part of the team that won first place in the Belgrade League along with first and second place finishes in the Radnicki NGB and All-Star tournaments. The daughter of Veselin and Milica Geric, she has a brother Vukasin.
Geric is the sixth student-athlete to join the Cowgirls as they inked five during the early signing period. The other signees include Alison Gorrell (5-10, Guard, Evergreen, Colo.), Kaitlyn Mileto (5-10, Guard, Colorado Springs, Colo.), Jordan Sibrel (6-1, Forward, Loveland, Colo.), Fatima Thiam (6-6, Center, Dakar, Senegal) and Kayla Woodward (5-11, Forward, Sheridan, Wyo.).
