The University of Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will open its first practice of the 2001-02 season Saturday, October 13 at 8:00 a.m. Fourth year head coach Cindy Fisher welcomes back five starters and eight letterwinners from last year's squad.

"We are very eager to get practice underway with a full and healthy squad this season," said head coach Cindy Fisher. "Our returning players have put in a great spring, summer and preseason, and they are hungry to win. I'm excited to get the entire squad together on Saturday and see where we are, plus I also think this year's team will be an exciting one to watch."
