Wyoming went 1-0 during the exhibition season with a 79-45 victory over the Colorado Christian Cougars last Tuesday. Aubrey Vandiver led the way with 15 points plus eight rebounds, followed by Jade Kennedy and Chaundra Sewell with 14 points each.

For the third straight year, the Cowgirls will open up the 2010-11 regular season, on Friday, Nov. 12, against the Denver Pioneers. This is the season opener for the Pioneers as well, who went 1-0 in exhibition play with an 77-21 win over Regis. They return four starters and five letterwinners to a team that went 18-13 overall and 12-6 in the Sun Belt Conference a year ago.

This is the 18th meeting between the two schools. Wyoming leads the series 14-3. The last time the two teams met was November 13, 2009 as the Cowgirls downed the Pioneers, 65-62, in Denver. Denver is coached by Erik Johnson who is in his third season with the program.

Wyoming will continue play at home as they welcome the Dickinson Blue Hawks, on Monday, Nov. 15. The Lady Blue Hawks are 1-3 overall this season. This will count as an exhibition game for Dickinson State. They return three starters and seven letterwinners to a team that went 15-13 overall and 7-7 in the Dakota Athletic Conference a year ago. This is the first ever meeting between the two teams. Dickinson State is coached by Andre Goldberg who is in his second year with the program.
