Probable Starters: Here are the probable starters for this week's games:
Guard Carly Stucky, So., 5-10, Pretty Prairie, Kan. Guard Shelby Hoffman, Sr., 5-9, Gillette, Wyo. Forward Christy Bacon, Jr., 6-0, Colorado Springs, Colo. Forward Jessica Gibbs, Sr., 6-1, Wells, Nev. Center Ann McColl, So., 6-2, Everett, Wash.
This Week: The Cowgirls will be at home and on the road this week. They will host Weber State on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m., and then travel to Flagstaff, Ariz. to face Northern Arizona on Saturday night at 8:05 p.m., MST.
About Weber State: The Cowgirls will host the Weber State Wildcats on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. They are currently 1-4 overall on the season after falling to Boise State and San Jose State over the weekend. Guard Crystal Howe leads the way for the Wildcats averaging 15.8 points and 11.2 rebounds per contest. Weber State was 14-15 overall and 10-6 in the Big Sky Conference last season. They return six letterwinners and four starters to this year's squad. This is the 22nd meeting between the two schools, Weber State leads 11-10. The Wildcats are coached by Carla Taylor, who is in her 13th season.
About Northern Arizona: In their second game of the week, the Cowgirls will face Northern Arizona in Flagstaff on Saturday night. They are currently 2-5 heading into this week. They will face Arizona State on Wednesday night before playing the Cowgirls. Junior Kara Kleinhenz is leading the Lumberjacks with 12.1 points and three rebounds per contest. They were 11-18 overall and 7-9 in the Big Sky Conference last season. They return seven letterwinners and all five starters. This is the fifth meeting between the two schools, Wyoming leads 4-0. The Lumberjacks are coached by Meg Sanders, who is in her fifth season at Northern Arizona.
