The Wyoming Cowgirl Basketball team returns to the Double-A for their final home contest before the holiday break. They welcome the Weber State Wildcats, on Friday, Dec. 14. The game is set to tip at 7:00 p.m. Live stats and audio can be found at www.gowyo.com.

Wyoming is 7-1 on the season after a two-game road sweep of Montana, 58-56, and Montana State, 68-60, last week. Chaundra Sewell led the way for the Cowgirls against Montana State. She recorded her third double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while shooting 6-11 from the field and 4-6 from the charity stripe. Kaitlyn Mileto followed with 15 points and five boards, while Ashley Sickles and Kayla Woodward added 14 and 12 respectively. Wyoming shot 24-54 (.444) from the field and 13-18 (.722) from the free throw line. They out rebounded the Bobcats 40-34 and had 32 points in the paint.

Four of five starters are averaging double-figures led by Sewell. She is averaging 13.9 points and a league high 10.0 rebounds per game. Sickles is chipping in 12.8 points, while Mileto and Woodward are adding 12.5 and 12.3 points respectively. As a team, the Cowgirls are shooting 195-433 (.450) from the field and 55-135 (.407) from beyond the arc. Both rank first in the league.

Weber State enters the contest with an 0-7 mark having lost to Utah Valley, 68-56, on Dec. 4, 2012. The Wildcats are led by Desiree Ramos who is scoring a team high 8.4 points and 3.3 rebounds. Kallie Matthews is bringing down 8.1 rebounds and adding 7.6 points. They return one starter and five letterwinners to a team that went 2-27 overall and 0-16 in the Big Sky Conference a season ago.

This will be the 30th meeting between the two schools. Wyoming leads the series 15-14. The last time the two teams met was Dec. 15, 2011 as the Cowgirls defeated Weber State 76-68 in overtime in Ogden. They are coached by Bethann Ord who is in her second year with the program.
