The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will begin a two-game road swing on Thursday, Dec. 15, against the Weber State Wildcats. The game is set for 12:00 p.m. in Odgen at the Dee Events Center. Live stats or audio can be found on www.wyomingathletics.com.

The Cowgirls are currently 2-6 on the season after an eight point victory, 68-60, over Maryville on Saturday. Wyoming is led by junior Chaundra Sewell with 11.1 points and a team leading 8.4 rebounds per game. Ashley Sickles follows with 11.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. As a team, they are shooting 148-429 (.347) from the field and 34-154 (.221) from beyond the arc.

The Wildcats are 2-8 overall so this season. Weber State is led by Amanda Hughes is averaging a team high 10.9 points, while adding 6.9 rebounds. She is followed by Mikell Woodfield who is adding 9.5 points and a team leading 7.5 boards per contest. They return three starters and seven letterwinners to a team that went 7-21 overall and 3-13 in the Big Sky Conference a year ago.

This is the 29th meeting between the two teams. The series is tied up at 14 all. The last time the two teams met was Dec. 18, 2009 as the Cowgirls defeated Weber State 78-40 in Laramie. The Wildcats are coached by Bethann Ord who is in her first season with the program.
