2012-13 (Freshman): Tyler Barker played in three of UW's four tournaments during the fall season, only missing one due to a minor injury. She finished in Wyoming's top three in each appearance, including her best performance of 229 (+13) at the CSU Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic for second on the team. She averaged 78.3 strokes during nine rounds of action and shot a season-low 75 (+3) at the Rose City Collegiate.
High School: Barker is a product of Vallivue High School in Caldwell, Idaho, where she played for head coach Valerie Orr. Barker earned three first-team all-state finishes during her prep career, including capturing the individual state title twice. She won the Idaho Golf Association Junior Championships in the summer of 2011, while placing third at the Idaho State Amateur Championships in the summer of 2012. Barker is a three-time member of the Idaho Girls Junior America's Cup team, while also placing 20th at the Big I National Championship in the summer of 2012.
Personal:The daughter of Dwight and Robin Barker, Tyler was born on Dec. 19, 1993, in Nampa, Idaho. She has one sister, Gabby. Tyler is majoring in education at UW. She was also recruited by Boise State and Idaho.
