Wyoming lost a close battle with Denver Saturday as the Pioneers edged the Cowgirls, 2-1, with a late score in the 82nd minute of regulation. After a Pioneer score early in the second half, Wyoming tied it at one apiece just two minutes later with a Kristin Howardgoal.
The first official game of the regular season is Friday, Aug. 17, as Wyoming takes on the Montana Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex.
