As a senior looking back, what has been your favorite memory so far with the team?
I actually have two great memories. One was our tour to Europe my freshman year and the second was scoring the late goal against SDSU in the MW semi-final to send us through to the final last year.
What was the feeling like after scoring the game-winning goal against SDSU in the MW semifinals to advance the team to the championship?
Both excitement and relief!
How is Coach Cuadrado helping you with your game?
Coach Cuadrado takes time to meet with me on a regular basis to prepare and assist in helping myself and the team achieve its goals.
What field of communications would you like to work in following graduation?
Something in marketing or advertising and perhaps graphic design.
Although soccer is universal, have you noticed any differences between the Canadian and American styles of play? (Is one more offensive/defensive than the other?)
They are very similar; however, in my first year I noticed the American style is more physical and direct.
What do you enjoy doing outside of soccer and schoolwork?
I enjoy being with my family and friends ... and sleeping!
If you met a first-time visitor to Calgary, where would you tell them to go to see the sights?
I would tell them to go see Banff National Park or to visit in July for the Calgary Stampede.
What pre-game rituals do you have to get mentally prepared for a match?
I listen to music while I visualize my place on the field, my role on the team, and making plays happen.
When did you decide to focus your talents on soccer over basketball and volleyball?
There was never any question that since I was young I wanted to chase a soccer ball. Other sports were for cross-training purposes and to understand other team play concepts and to stay in shape.
What is your favorite band or artist?
My favorite band is Coldplay!
Who is your role model?
I have two role models; my Mom and Dad.
What is your favorite meal?
My Mom's homemade manicotti!
What have you enjoyed most about Laramie?
The people because they are down-to-earth, helpful and very supportive.
