The Wyoming tennis team earned impressive 4-3 victory over the Cal State Fullerton Titans, on Thursday afternoon. It snapped a three-match losing streak for the Cowgirls. Senior Veronica Popovici also became the all-time leader in doubles wins with 83 for her career.
"We put it all together today," said head coach Dean Clower. "As a team we were one solid unit getting after it. When we play as a team we are tough to beat. I'm proud of the players for sticking with the process and believing in it."
Wyoming went on top in the match early by winning the doubles point. The Titans won the first match of the day as Megan Sandford and Alexis Valenzuela defeated Christa Gecheva and Alma Espinosa, 8-2.
