Cowgirl Tennis Falls 4-0 against BYU
March 31, 2007
FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team (5-10 overall, 1-3 MWC) opened up their weekend with a 4-0 loss against the BYU Cougars on Saturday in Ft. Collins, Colo. BYU would only need four of the six singles matches to win the dual, and due to that, doubles play would not take place. At the number one spot, Anastasia Sourkova defeated Karolina Rowinski, 6-1, 6-2, as did Jenny Miccoli over Andrea House, 6-2, 6-3. Corina Lazar lost to Chie Hayasaka in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-1. Michelle Brown also fell in three sets, 6-2, 6-7, 6-1, against Kirstina Doerr. The other two matches were not completed. Wyoming will resume MWC next week as they take on UNLV and San Diego State in Las Vegas. BYU 4 Wyoming 0
