Wyoming Tennis Ranked Among Leaders in ITA Attendance

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The Cowgirl tennis team finished the 2014 spring season ranked seventh in average attendance for the month of April, while they had the second highest single-match attendance in February against Colorado Mesa.

"Congratulations to our wonderful fans in helping us reach the Top 10 in attendance this season," head coach Dean Clower said. "The support from our great community makes UW the best place to coach and play in the country. Thanks again to you all for the support we have."

Wyoming averaged 200 fans (400 total) having attended matches for the month of April which was seventh behind some of the top schools in the country. Of the three matches in February and April, the Cowgirls tallied 737 fans for an average of 246 per match. Their largest crowd was 337 against Colorado Mesa on Feb. 7, which was the second largest single-match crowd during the month of February.

The Cowgirls closed out the season April 26th at the Mountain West Championships in Fresno, Calif. They went 11-8 overall and 4-1 in the Mountain West on the season.
