LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The Wyoming Cowgirl Volleyball Team finished with a 2-1 record at the Colorado State spring tournament, Saturday, April 13, in Ft. Collins.

The Cowgirls went 1-1 in Pool B play. They opened up with a 3-0 victory (25-18, 25-15, 25-21) over the Air Force Falcons followed by a 2-1 loss against Denver, 24-26, 21-25, 25-20. In the afternoon season, UW rallied with a 2-1 win (25-18, 25-20, 13-25) over the New Mexico Lobos.

On the weekend, redshirt freshman Mikaela Ryshytylo finished with a team high 19 kills (2.11 kps) and hit .212 (19-8-52) followed by Reese Plante with 18 kills (2.00 kps). Erin Kirby hit a team high .378 (17-3-37) while Plante had a .375 (18-3-40) hitting percentage.

The Cowgirls will have one more week of spring practice before competing in their final tournament. They will wrap things up on Saturday, April 20, at the UNK Tournament, in Kearney, Neb.
